This is a kinetic installation made by anno lab, generates streaks of light by sunlight or moonlight, with many small round windows with a door. This work is permanently installed to the dedicated museum in Oita, Japan: 不均質な自然と人の美術館.
We were in charge of the motor control system, built with STEP800. Unfortunately the installation just coincided with the Corona pandemic, so we were only able to provide the system. Here are some photos of the installation which anno lab shared with us.
The app made by anno lab acts as a master of motions. It generates streams of the target positions for each door, then STEP800s track them with a servo mode.
